Mells Driveway Gate
The Mells driveway gate is a beautiful traditional gate with a concave single bowed top rail on each leaf with styled pales.
This attractive gate is ideal for driveways as a pair or as a single garden gate. It combines tongue & groove match boarding and strong mortice & tenon construction to create a gate that offers security for small children and pets.
The Mells driveway gate incorporates water run-off features which also impede the ingress of water. This helps to extend the life of this quality gate. Made in Britain, the gates are made using joinery grade selected timber. Prices detailed are for the softwood product which is sold untreated and will need to be painted or oiled to maintain the gates excellent quality. Prices for the Iroko hardwood range are available on request.

Lead Times
Lead times are currently around 10 – 12 weeks. The approximate date for collection or delivery of your gate will be confirmed once your order has been placed. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please give us a call.
Dimensions
Available in many sizes with a width of up to 7′ (2.10m) gate and a height of up to 8′ (2.44m) per gate.
Construction
Modern technology, as well as traditional joinery skills, is used to create a quality made to measure gate. The gate has strong mortice & tenon construction and a planed finish, plus a heavy-duty bottom rail as standard.
Manufacture
Made in Britain, this gate is manufactured using sustainable slow grown softwood. Slow grown softwood is denser and as a result, produces a better-quality wood. Therefore, a more durable gate. Hardwood is ethically sourced joinery grade Iroko, the price for this hardwood is available on request.
Installation
Ready for automation with a heavy-duty rail as standard and consultation with a qualified installer is recommended. Recommended fittings are 30″ two-way adjustable hinges + Ring Latch + Drop bolt & socket set (both gates if a pair).

Maintenance
To maintain and preserve the appearance of your gates, we recommend using one of our specialist fencing timber treatments. The softwood gate is supplied untreated.
